About Brass LNG

Our business model

We take gas that would be flared during oil production, transform it into the highest quality LNG and deliver it safely and efficiently, creating profit for our Shareholders and Nigeria. This reduces the wasteful and environmentally damaging flaring of unwanted gas.

We’ll also use gas from dedicated gas fields, for which there is no immediate domestic market.

Economic and Environmental Dividends

The Nigerian flare reduction initiative was established to minimize flaring of natural gas during oil production.

At our Brass Island facility, we’ll liquefy the feedgas to produce 10 million tonnes of profitable LNG per year.

The LNG value chain

  1. 1. Upstream

Associated gas and non-associated gas is collected.

  2. 2. Liquefaction

The gas is purified and super-cooled to liquid state.

  3. 3. Shipping

LNG is safely shipped to buyers.

  4. 4. Regasification

LNG is offloaded and returned to gaseous state.

  5. 5. Pipeline

Natural gas is piped to local holding facilities and distribution networks.

  6. 6. Marketing

The final product is sold to industrial, commercial and domestic consumers.

The Brass LNG plant, part of the integrated gas value chain, is represented by Liquefaction and Shipping in this diagram.

Our gas supply

Our natural gas supply will come from the substantial gas reserves held in the oil and gas fields operated by our Shareholders and from other joint ventures.
