Brass LNG is jointly owned by four major energy companies.

NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation) — 49% ownership

The NNPC was formed in 1977 and has sole responsibility for petroleum production and development in Nigeria. The NNPC is also charged with managing the Nigerian oil industry on behalf of the Nigerian Government. For more information, visit the NNPC website.

Eni — 17% ownership

Eni employs 73,000 people in about 70 countries. The company's business activities are in oil, natural gas, electricity, engineering, construction and petrochemicals. Eni is listed on the Borsa Italiana and the NYSE. For more information, visit the Eni website.

ConocoPhillips — 17% ownership

ConocoPhillips is the third-largest integrated energy company in the US. ConocoPhillips operates in more than 40 countries and employs about 38,300 people. The company is listed on the NYSE. For more information, visit the ConocoPhillips website.

Total — 17% ownership

Total is the world's fourth-largest integrated oil and gas company with over 95,000 employees in more than 130 countries. Its exploration and production operations extend to 41 countries. Total is listed on the Bourse de Paris and the NYSE. For more information, visit the Total website.

Contracts and milestones

  • Heads of Agreement (HOA) was signed on 30th October, 2003, and Brass LNG Ltd was officially incorporated on 9th December the same year.
  • Senior management were officially appointed on 20th February, 2004.
  • The front-end engineering design (FEED) phase was awarded in Q4, 2004 and completed in Q4, 2006.
  • We are progressing towards the Final Investment Decision (FID).
